The Lawrence County Health Department began offering home health services in 1966 and is a Medicare certified agency.  Through our Home Health Department we offer skilled nursing, home health aide, speech, physical and occupational therapies, and medical social worker.  We offer hospice by referral.

Skilled nursing is able to provide a wide range of services, from routine procedures to hi-tech nursing care.  In these days when our elderly are released from the hospital "quicker and sicker," home health can keep people in their own homes where they recover faster.

Home Health aides are provided through the Medicare program to provide personal care.  Our therapists are available to provide in-home care to help our patients regain as much independence as possible.  Our Medical Social Worker is available on an as needed basis to assess home situations and make referrals for assistance to the appropriate services.

Through an affiliation with Lincoln Trail Hospice, we are able to offer services to those patients with a life-limiting illness.  Hospice focuses on the quality of life, enabling patients to stay at home in loving and familiar surroundings.
