The Health Department has been working on emergency preparedness so when an emergency or disaster comes through Lawrence County we will be ready to do our part in the recovery process.  We train and practice on a regular basis.

       This last Fall if you came to the health department to receive a flu shot you participated in one of practice drills.  We used our flu clinic day as a drill for dispensing medications.  Steve Westbrook, Illinois State Emergency Response Coordinator, was present most of the day to observe and evaluate our procedures.
